Enjoy the Falmouth Fireworks during Cape Cod July 4 holiday

Come and enjoy the spectacular Falmouth Fireworks show during a Cape Cod July 4th holiday to celebrate our Country's Birthday!

Falmouth has been rated to have one of the top ten best fireworks shows in the COUNTRY!! Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging is located just two and a half miles away from the beach and field area where you can sit and watch this fantastic show.

The town of Falmouth produces the fireworks show from a barge just off of Falmouth Heights Beach.  The show begins at dusk, lasts for about 30 minutes and is FREE.  You can either sit on a grassy field or sit on the soft sandy beach.

And because it’s our country's birthday there is always loads of free surprises.  Some of the surprises last year were Dunkin Donuts gave out free mini cup trials and Cape Cod Potatoes Chips had free giveaways also.

Prior to the begining of the fireworks, there is always music to enjoy.  This is an event that you can’t go wrong on; it’s family friendly, free giveaways, fun on the beach, and a grassy area to lay out a blanket all while the fireworks show is going off.

So bring your family, a blanket, and a camera to the Cape to enjoy Falmouth’s spectacular fireworks show.  Make sure that you make your reservations at our Cape Cod Hotel as soon as you can!

Campfire Sing Along Nights at premiere Cape Cod Hotels beach

Campfire Sing Along Nights at this premiere Cape Cod Hotels beach are back for the 2012 Summer vacation season.  And we are reminded of these famous words from a well known song:

“Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.”

Why write about one of the verses from “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”?  Because it’s back by popular request where once a week during July and August, we have a blast enjoying some old favorite campfire songs, laughs, and stories lit by a glowing campfire.

Come and enjoy making new memories and sharing some old memories with your family and the new friends you’ll meet.  This is a family friendly event that is hosted by Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging.  Everyone will love the experience of roasting marshmallows right on the beach! This event is completely FREE and is our gift to you.

Speaking of Free, our paddle boats are FREE to go “Gently Down” our saltwater inlet. We have plenty of other FREE things to enjoy right on our property too.  Our small private boating beach, boating dock, charcoal grills, volleyball, shuffleboard, and our pools that are heated to 84 degrees are here to complete your vacation.  We provide all of the balls, equipment, and toys that our guests would need.  Come and live out “The Dream” by staying here at Green Harbor, where you will feel just like family.

Here is what one of our guest had to say about our family friendly lodging on Trip Advisor:
“If you are looking for family friendly lodging--look no further! Green Harbor is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a placid harbor. The children, young and old, will enjoy the free paddle boats, row boats and even water toys! We used the BBQ Grills so we did not have to bother with restaurants. The other guests were so friendly, they became like family. But the friendliest of all are the Kelly Family who have managed this hotel for decades. Thank you for a truly relaxing vacation!”

So this summer, come on out to our Cape Cod Hotel in Falmouth, MA for our Campfire Sing Alongs and some good old fashioned family fun!

Come bike or walk the Shining Sea Bike Path in Woods Hole

Come bike or walk the Shining Sea Bike Path in Woods Hole along the Cape in Massachusetts when you spend your vacation at our Cape Cod Hotel.  We have been having beautiful spring weather and the Shining Sea Bike Path is always something that is fun and different every time you visit.

This flat bike way has now been extended 10.7 miles with portions of it along the Vineyard Sound shoreline and is FREE to enjoy.  The Shining Sea bike path has history dating from the 1970’s when it first became a bike path.  The path was named from a line in the song “America The Beautiful”, “from sea to shining sea”, written by a native of Falmouth, Katharine Lee Bates.

The town of Falmouth purchased the railroad right of way in the early 1970’s.  By 1975 the railroad tracks were removed and the bike way was officially opened.  The bike path passes through ponds, woodlands, cranberry bogs, and saltwater marshes.  All along the way you will see nature at every turn.

Many bird sightings, marine wild life, red foxes and if you’re lucky some deer.  There are plenty of places to stop and rest to catch your breath or sit and watch nature. You can catch a fun swim at some of our beaches right on the path too.

Not wanting to drag your bike to the Cape? Don’t worry there is a nice bike rental shop two minutes away from the North Falmouth Entrance to the Shining Sea Bike Path. “Art’s Bike Shop” is reasonably priced and includes helmets.

Rental for a single bike from 8am-5pm is $25, for 24hrs you can rent a bike for $35, and for the whole week $95.  If you have little kids with you they also have trailer pull behinds. To rent the trailer from 8am-5pm is $15, for 24hrs is $24, and for the week it is $65.

Don’t worry about food there are lots of nice restaurants and ice cream shops to stop at in Woods Hole. If you enjoy shopping there are several very cute shops in Woods Hole at the end of the path. For more information about the Shining Sea Bike Path, Click Here.

So come and enjoy Cape Cod at Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging, a pet friendly place, in Falmouth, Massachusetts.  See you soon!!!
